Biloo and His Bees
Biloo and His Bees
Roni's affair went beyond the limit that afternoon. After finishing school, he worked with his father in the bee farm for a while, while playing on the river bank, he saw some people digging holes and burying bamboo. Ronnie is standing nearby with his hands in his pockets. It seems to be reporting the work. Bilu was surprised and moved closer. Ronnie pretended not to see him. Kazem Ali, one of the people who are burying the bamboo, he saw Bilu and smiled and said, "How are you playing Bilu?"
Billu said, good. Then asked, what is uncle Kazem doing here?
Kilab Houch is being prepared.
The club house?
J. High houses will be made of bamboo. Setare says Kilab Hauch.
here?
J.
"Here we play ha-doo-doo," Bilu said loudly.
Roni then came to Kazem Ali and said, why are you talking? Work, should finish by tomorrow.
Kazem Ali shook his head and said, JJ. Then he began to dig holes in the ground with a knife.
Blood rose on Bilu's head. He rolled his eyes and said, he can't make anything here. Here we play.
Roni folded his hands and said, "This is my Nana's property - get out of here, or I will throw you out by the neck."
Kazem Ali quickly came to Roni and said, Chota sahib does not talk like this. Doctor's son –
Ronnie said – I don't care. I will do whatever I want with my Nana's property.
The next day Farooq brought the news that 'Kilam Hauch' had almost stopped. The thing is nothing but a loft. At noon, Nantu brought the news that 'kilam hauche' Roni and her younger sister were sitting and eating bread. Extravagant adults eat bread at noon. That bread was brought from Dhaka. In the afternoon Jalil brought the biggest news, Roni's friends from the city are coming tomorrow – they have never seen the village, so they are coming to see the village.
In a place where it is now customary to be uneducated while receiving a semi-scratch western education, Bengalis still read this story of Zafar Iqbal, it gives me some hope. To be honest, I might have been in Ronnie's team at one point, but now I'd like to think that my mind has changed for the better. So this is the story.
